I think that last year on the fourth of July we slept in, sat around, and probably watched a movie. This year I was determined to not be SO lazy that we didn’t do ANYTHING to celebrate. Well, we didn’t do a whole lot, but we did get up and go to the Freedom Festival Parade with Christine and Harrison!

Glenn Beck!
Since the parade was fairly early in the morning, we left after it was over and took a nap. Then we headed over to the actual freedom festival where we walked through the booths and I REALLY wanted to get a fried twinkie, but I resisted.
Then we went out to dinner at Art City Trolley and then I think we rented a movie……baby steps, people…baby steps.
Way to get out and make memories!
That’s funny that Glenn Beck was in the parade. Who knew?
NO FIREWORKS!?! I always have to see the fireworks or the 4th is just sad.
Hey! That sounds like so much fun! I remember we went to the parade last year and it was pretty fun. Way to be outgoing!
I love parades. They are so fun, but they are always so crowded. It is exciting, but sometimes I wonder if it takes aways from the fun of it.
Merx: I log onto your blog today and realize you’ve posted TWICE. What a fun surprise!! Your 4th of July celebration sounds great. It really does take an effort to walk out of the front door and do something. Good for you!
