Every season I love seeing the new trends popping up. This spring there are some really good ones that I’ve totally fallen for so today I’m sharing three of my favorite spring trends, and a few favorite pieces each trend.
First up, Embroidered. It’s absolutely one of the hottest trends for spring and we’re seeing it on shoes, jeans, jackets, blouses, and t-shirts. I’m not quite ready to dive into embroidered jeans, but I’m loving the details they add to jackets, tees, and especially sneakers and shoes!
How to wear it? Pair it with simple, clean, neutral pieces. If you’re rocking embroidered jeans, choose a simple white tee or crisp white button up on top. If your top or jacket is embroidered, the same rule applies on bottom — stick to jeans or a simple skirt. Pairing embroidered with ruffles or pleats or stripes can make your outfit a bit overwhelming.
Below are some of my favorite embroidered pieces!
Next, Ruffles. Although ruffles have been around since the dawn of time, they’re showing up in new, interesting ways as details on sleeves, collars, skirts, dresses, and more.
How to wear it? The goal is to strike a balance of proportions. Ruffles can add a lot of volume, so keep your other pieces sleek and simple. Choose a basic ponytail or straight hair. Pair a ruffled top with a pair of sleek faux leather leggings or simple black or dark jeans. Or choose a classic pair of flats or stilettos with a ruffled dress.

And finally, Mock Neck Keyhole Tops. Like most new trends, I wasn’t sure about this one at first. But the more tops I see with this neckline, the more gorgeous I think it is. It’s so elongating for your neck and chest, and is just such a feminine style.
How to wear it? Since the neckline is the focal point, you don’t want to muddy that area, so ditch any jewelry around your neck, even the delicate pieces. Instead, wear some earrings or bracelets or rings. Also, if the neckline goes too low and you need a camisole, try a nude one (this is my favorite nude cami) rather than white or black, so the neckline still feels open. Since the details on this top are pretty minimal, basically anything goes when you’re styling it. But I think styling it with a pair of boyfriend jeans to offset the femininity of the top would be a fun idea.
Some of my favorites are below!
