2. Tuck it into a skirt
A vest can definitely be tucked into a skirt! I’d recommend doing it into a sturdier skirt, like this denim one, so you don’t get bulk around the waist. I paired with classic ankle boots for an elevated look, but you could do it with flats or sneakers, or even all boots!

I actually love this look so much. It’s unique and chic, and I tucked it up and under (it’s tucked into a soft, thin belt) so my waist was defined a bit. The vest over a button down shirt is a classic combo, but I think a vest over a long sleeve tee is modern and cool, and great for colder weather. I paired mine with a pencil skirt, but you could do it with jeans or dress pants, depending on your style.
