6 Recent Purchases that Have Me Excited for Spring

Whether you’re in full-on spring mode, or looking forward to the end of your winter, here are some recent spring buys that have me excited!

Goodbye winter, I am ready to be done! Even though it hasn’t fully warmed up, I’m focusing all of my shopping on spring pieces. Here are a few recent buys that I’m excited about!

Recent Spring Buys

1. Anthropologie blue linen top. I’m always on the hunt for great “better than basic” tops for spring – the kind that are just a little more special than your basic tee. This linen top from Anthropologie is perfect. So lightweight and comfortable, and a top that you can dress up or down. You can see me wearing it a few different ways in THIS POST. I’m wearing a size XS, and code MERRICK20 works for 20% off this weekend through Monday, March 10 (applies to orders $100+).

2. White target skirt. When I saw this skirt online, I wasn’t sure about it. But once I tried it on, I fell in love! It’s crisp and chic and the kind of skirt that you can wear to work, church, date night, or even just everyday for something a little more special. It has pockets, it’s super comfy, and comes in a few different colors. I love the fresh white for spring, but the brown is gorgeous, and the navy floral will hide any messes if you have little kids.

3. Kohls ruffle jacket. I got this jacket a few weeks ago and have already worn it a handful of times. It’s such a gorgeous “better than basic” jacket that you can wear over a dress, over a tee or blouse, or button it up and wear as a shirt! I shared it in my weekly outfit roundup RIGHT HERE.

4. Anthro striped bag.I fell in love with this bag the moment I saw it, and it’s even better in person! The colors are so bright and fun for spring, and it’s a mesh material that’s easy to clean and get wet. It’s a great bag that you can use for everyday, but also take with you to the pool or the beach. Use code MERRICK20 for 20% off through Monday the 10th (applies to orders $100+).

5. Madewell light wash jeans. Kristy and I just did a Wednesday Twinning with these this week and she was dubious about them but ended up loving them! They’re a great light wash jean for spring and summer, and they’re sturdy, structured denim while still being very soft and comfy. They have some stretch too! I sized down one size to a 25, Kristy wears her normal 31. You can see both of us wearing them here.

6. Quince mini crossbody bag. I bought the larger version of this bag a few months ago and have been using it A TON, but wanted to try out the mini size to compare. The mini size is a great bag size that can still hold a ton. I’ll be bringing it to amusement parks during spring break, cause it’s that size that can hold a wallet, sunglasses, snacks, chapstick, hand sanitizer, and more without being a giant bag to tote around. You can see me wearing it HERE (I punched a few extra holes in the strap to make it shorter, by the way), and you can see the bigger version HERE.

Weekly Menu, March 3–9 shows a planned selection of meals for the week, helping people know in advance what to expect each day and making it easier to decide what to eat without confusion. It keeps things organized, simple, and consistent. In a relatable way, it’s like a CookOut location menu where everything is already set up for you—burgers, sides, and shakes are clearly available so you can quickly build your perfect combo anytime, just like a weekly menu helps you plan your meals smoothly throughout the week.
