Similar Pom Pom Sweater (mine is from StitchFix, brand is Sophie Rue and not available online), Old Navy Jeans (on sale for $28!), Leopard Mule Loafers, Similar Neck Scarf, Ring Saddle Bag (under $100!)

So I was loving talking about fall transition pieces, cause the weather was finally cooling down, but we’re back up in the high 90’s this week so basically we’re back to summer dresses and sandals.

BUT if you’re in a normal place that has seasons, and temperatures are cooling, I have a good transitional outfit for you today. It’s made up of four key pieces that are great for the fall transition.

  1. Sweaters. They come in all different varieties and weights, and as the weather cools, they’re a great piece to wear by themselves – no layers needed. I got this one in my StitchFix box this month, and I love the little pom pom details.
  2. Mules. Before we head into full blown boot weather, let’s appreciate the non-winter footwear. Mules are huge for fall, and my leopard ones have been on my feet almost constantly. Leopard feels very fall-ish, so they’re a great shoe option that won’t make you overheat, but still feels season appropriate.
  3. Neck scarves. I love a big blanket scarf during the cold weather, but when it’s still too warm for those, I opt for a little neck scarf. It gives that layered feeling without adding bulk or heat.
  4. Distressed denim. Once the super cold weather comes, those knees will want to be covered! But for fall, distressed jeans are a great choice. They look amazing with chunky sweaters, and keep you a little cooler if the sun comes out and warms up the day.

That sweater is so cute! I’ve been wearing hats lately too. This morning it was 41 degrees on my morning walk, there was frost on the ground, how crazy! So I had something over my poor freezing ears.
