My four year old is obsessed with puzzles right now. These are some of our favorite puzzles for kids that we own and he does over and over!

Our favorite puzzles for kids

My four year old is currently obsessed with puzzles. He spends hours every week putting together these puzzles, and they’re so great to help him build his fine motor skills, patience, shape recognition, and so many other skills. We’ve compiled a good collection of puzzles for kids, and these are some of our very favorite.

Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles in a box

I bought this puzzle set when my oldest was only a year old, and these little 4-puzzle boxes have been some of our favorites since! They’re great quality, and there are a few different themes — vehicles, animals, etc.

Solar System Floor Puzzle

The Melissa and Doug floor puzzles are so fantastic, and this solar system puzzle is one of my boys’ favorites. It’s big — two feet by three feet — and the big puzzle pieces are easy for little hands to grab and put together.

United States Floor Puzzle

This USA floor puzzle is super fun. Every state is its own piece (except for the tiny ones in New England!), so your kids can learn USA geographyas they put this puzzle together.

Melissa and Doug Farm floor puzzle

Sanny puts together this puzzle almost everyday! It’s another big floor puzzle and filled with fun farm animals. It’s on sale for under $15!

Bits and Pieces Christmas puzzle

I bought this Christmas puzzle this year for our December 1st boxes. I was worried that a 300 piece puzzle might be too hard for Sanny, but he actually did it! It was a challenge, but it was a fun challenge for him!

Harry Potter Christmas Puzzle

I bought this Harry Potter Christmas puzzle a few years ago, and we bring it out every year to do during December. It’s so pretty and at 500 pieces, it’s not too huge but still takes us a few weeks to sit down and put it all together.

Harry Potter Hogsmead Christmas Puzzle

After the first Harry Potter puzzle was such a success, I had to buy this puzzle the next Christmas. We love doing these two puzzles every year during December.

2-pack QUOKKA floor puzzles

I bought these puzzles for my 4 year old for Christmas, and they get amazing reviews. It comes in a 2-pack, under $30, and they’re both 18×25 inches.
