I bought a pullover from Aerie in the fall and fell in love with it – thousands of you did too! They just released a polo version of this sweatshirt, and I like it just as much, if not more! It’s a little lighter weight than the original pullover, which is great for transitioning into spring, but it’s perfectly cozy and the fabric feels like you’ve lived in it for years.
It’s the perfect piece that you can wear with leggings around the house when you want to feel cute but still super comfy, but also it can be styled in other ways. Today I’ll show you four ways to wear an oversized polo sweatshirt.

This is the easiest way to wear this kind of piece, and it’s great for hanging around the house, carpool pickup, running errands, or anything.
I added a cozy striped tee underneath just for a little extra warmth and a bit of extra interest, and I love how it looks! But of course you could wear it without a layering tee, or with a plain white or black tee.

Try an oversized sweatshirt with skinny or straight leg jeans
Yep, skinny jeans are coming back, so if you want to wear your skinny jeans under this, that works super well. I’m still off the skinny jeans wagon, so a slim, straight leg pair is best for me. But you want something that will balance the oversized sweatshirt, so don’t wear jeans that are too wide or baggy.

Yes, you can layer your oversized sweatshirt under a coat!
This one can actually be a little tricky, and if you have an oversized sweatshirt, you’ll know. It can get bunchy because of the extra fabric in the shirt and in the dropped underarms. But if you have a more slouchy or oversized jacket, it can work! Just don’t pair with a coat that’s shorter than your sweatshirt.

Layer your oversized polo sweatshirt with a button up shirt!
I shared this outfit idea on my instagram the other day and you guys LOVED it. It’s a great way to elevate an oversized polo like this. I was worried about it feeling bulky with a shirt underneath, but it didn’t. However, if it does for you, you could try it with a “dickey,” which is a faux collar. It gives you the look without the bulk!
I paired it with nicer leggings and chelsea boots, but you could also do it with a slimmer cut pant or jean and boots if you’re not a leggings-as-pants person.
