I feel like there are always baby showers to attend year-round, but especially in the spring! Here are outfit ideas for a baby shower.
Do you have a baby shower on the calendar? I wanted to share some outfit ideas for a baby shower, especially for spring showers. These outfits could work for wedding showers too!
I have a more in-depth baby shower outfit post RIGHT HERE where I go into detail about different seasons and different outfit ideas for all types of weather. But today, I wanted to share 3 updated looks.
Outfit Ideas for a Baby Shower
Baby shower outfit formula #1. Wear a nice dress
A dress is always an easy option for a baby shower. It’s a no fail outfit! You look like you made effort, but really it’s the easiest thing in the world to put on. In the spring, a pretty floral print dress like this one is perfect. You could do flats or heels or tan ankle boots with it, and if it’s still chilly, add a cropped denim jacket or a blazer or a wool coat over the top.

Baby shower outfit formula #2: Wear a cute top and skirt
This is another super easy formula that makes you look fabulous with very little effort. You could do a shorter skirt like this one, or a longer midi or maxi skirt. Since my chambray skirt is more basic, I chose a bolder top in a pretty floral print. But if you choose a bold skirt, a solid colored sweater or tee or button up may be the right choice.

Baby shower outfit formula #3: Statement top and nice pants
If the shower is a little more casual, you might want to do pants instead of a dress or skirt. I think jeans are often ok to wear to a baby shower (depending on the person, and as long as they’re nice jeans, not full of rips and holes) but if you’re not sure, try a pair of non-jean pants like these wide leg cropped pants. I paired them with a light pink puff sleeve top. You could do a bolder top, but I love the subtle nature of this tulle puff sleeve tee.
I wore this outfit with heels, but if you want to go more casual, choose a pair of flat sandals, flats, loafers, or slim cut/light colored ankle boots.

I hope that’s helpful!
These outfit ideas are absolutely adorable! I love how you’ve managed to strike that perfect balance between comfortable and stylish – so important for a baby shower where you might be playing games or cooing over tiny onesies. The floral wrap dress is my favorite; it’s versatile enough for different seasons and shower themes. Speaking of themes, I recently helped plan my sister’s baby shower and found this amazing guide on unique baby shower themes and games (https://modern60.com/relationships/60th-birthday/60th-birthday-party-games). It paired perfectly with outfit planning! Your tip about choosing breathable fabrics is spot-on too – nobody wants to feel overheated during all the excitement. Thanks for sharing these lovely options!
