Merry Christmas!

Partnership with Minted

Photography by Rad and Happy

Merry Christmas! I hope you all had an amazing day yesterday. My boys were a little unsure about Christmas on a Sunday and having to leave unopened presents under the tree while we went to church…but worshipping our Savior at church on Christmas day set the tone for a perfect day and I loved it. And they got their fill of gifts after we got home from church, ending with a fun treasure hunt (which I loved putting together) for their big Santa gift.

We were late on our Christmas cards this year and finally sent them off on Christmas Eve. So, more like New Year’s cards. But we teamed up with Minted this year to make them, and late or not, I love how they turned out.

But first, a few pictures from our family shoot.

I combined our family photos with a special shoot I’ll be sharing tomorrow, so we went with a super dressy look. I heard about Appaman’s little boy suits a year or so ago and they generously sent these navy herringbone suits for B and Fos, and then I bought San’s suit here and made my dress (more details on that coming soon!).

When we got our photos back, I chose the one we wanted to use for our Christmas cards and used Minted’s FIND IT FAST feature so that all the card thumbnails on the site showed our photo on the front. It makes it so quick and easy to decide on a card when you can see the final result.

We chose this gorgeous one with gold foil and I opted to make it a folding card so we could add a little family update, which I love doing.

Minted always has the most gorgeous designs, and the quality of cards is incredible. Plus they now have art and other home decor pieces. I could get lost in their site for hours looking at all their pieces. We have some Minted art we’ve put in our new home — I’ll be sharing soon!

I love adding a little family update in the cards, so here’s what we shared:

P & M: We’ve had an incredible 2016! Sanford David joined our family on March 6, weighing in at 8 lbs 6 oz. In May, we bought a home, and moved in November after building was complete. In the summer, Merrick attended her first New York Fashion Week, and Philip traveled to Hong Kong and Macau with his dad. We’ll celebrate our 10 year anniversary in a few weeks and are happier than ever!

B, Age 6: B’s in first grade this year and loves reading, math, Legos, and schedules. He read over one hundred books on his own this semester, lost his first four teeth, and got his very own house key (which is probably the thing he’s most proud of). He runs a tight ship with two little brothers in tow, and wants to be a rocket scientist when he grows up.

Fos, Age 4: Fos has loved becoming a big brother this year and loves to hold and play with San. He attends preschool twice a week, but savors the other three days when he has free reign of the Legos at home while B’s at school. He has an incredible imagination and memory and can rattle off Star Wars trivia with the best of them!

San, 9 months: San has been a joy since day one and is the light of our family. If you’d told us we’d not only have a second blonde haired baby, but also a blue eyed dreamboat, we never would have believed it. But it looks like those baby blues are sticking around! He’s crawling at top speed, walking around furniture, and has an ear piercing scream like you wouldn’t believe.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Thank you so much for following along in 2016, and we’re so excited for what’s to come in 2017!

Oh the dress is gorgeous Merrick! Would you ever sow a dress for someone if they paid for materials and labor? 🙂
