Cute Lug Sole Loafer Outfits

I love lug sole loafers and they’re a total staple for me year round! If you’re not sure how to wear them, here are some cute lug sole loafer outfits you can copy or use as inspiration.

Lug sole loafers are one of the big trends of the last two years. These shoes are a classic silhouette with a more trendy tread of the lug sole. It took me a while to get on board with the chunkier sole, cause some of them are SO thick and clunky, but this Madewell pair is really wearable and a little more sleek and low profile.

1. Try them with a sweater dress and blazer

I love a sweater dress during the fall and winter, and although my usual shoe choice is an ankle boot, a lug sole loafer is another great option!

If you feel like the shoe feels clunky, add a blazer and a belt (or one or the other) to help balance the outfit and add a little more weightiness to the top of the outfit to balance the heavier shoe.

2. These loafers work super well with cropped wide leg pants

I know a lot of you struggle with the cropped wide leg pants, but they’re truly my favorite style of pants right now. They’re effortless, comfortable, and easy to wear with lots of shoes. They work so well with lug sole loafers!

I paired them with a thicker knit sweater, and while I typically half tuck my tops, this one is thicker and shorter, so it works well to not tuck.

3. Try these loafers with full length pants

4. Try brown lug sole loafers with an all-black outfit

Yes, you can wear black and brown together! I love this look. It’s simple and chic and easy, and the brown shoes make sense with a brown back and a solid black outfit.

Also, I’m wearing them with cropped kick flare jeans, which are super versatile with lots of shoes. If you’re not sure what to wear with lug sole loafers, cropped kick flare jeans are always a good idea.
