I love having a few essential shoes in my closet for each season. Here are my go-to shoes for fall!
I am so excited that the weather has finally cooled down and I can start slowly breaking out my fall essentials. I typically cycle through a few pairs of go-to shoes for every season. Here are my current favorite shoes for fall!
Favorite Shoes for Fall
1. BLACK CHELSEA BOOTS
- I’ve raved about these boots for a year and a half since I bought them. They are my ultimate black everyday boot (although they can be dressed up too). They go with everything and they’re super comfy. I’ll be wearing these all during the fall and through the winter. CLICK HERE FOR MY FAVORITE PAIR.
2. TAN WEDGED ANKLE BOOTS
- I bought this pair from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale this summer (but they’re back on sale now!) and they are the most comfortable, supportive, lightweight boot. I haven’t worn them yet since the weather has been hot, but you’ll be seeing a lot of them in the fall and winter. Despite having a wedge and some height, I think they’re a great everyday shoe. The leather is high quality and waterproof – plus Vionic is a well-known comfort brand so these are easy to wear. I’m planning on wearing them for everyday and dressing them up with dresses and skirts! CLICK HERE FOR MY FAVORITE PAIR.
3. BROWN LEATHER LOAFERS
- I got these from Madewell a few years ago and they’re my most worn shoe in the fall. The dark brown leather makes any outfit look great for fall, and they’re a great option for when it’s too hot for a boot but you still want a fall outfit. The style also looks fantastic with skinny jeans, straight leg jeans, and wide leg jeans, and they can be dressed up or down and worn with skirts and dresses. 4. RED BALLET FLATS
- Red is THE color of the season, and ballet flats are THE shoe of the year. These add such a fun pop to otherwise pretty neutral fall outfits. I’ll be wearing these with jeans and sweaters, skirts and fall dresses. I have several pairs of THIS MADEWELL FLAT style and they’ve become a closet staple for me. The red color I have is mostly sold out, but THIS PAIR is on pre-order and it’s a gorgeous red velvet, and THIS PAIR is almost identical but from Rothy’s so we know they’ll be comfortable!
5. RED SNEAKERS
- I love a statement sneaker! Like the flats, these add a really fun pop to any neutral fall outfit. I’ll be dressing these down with jeans and sweatshirts or even athleisure. They’d be the perfect travel shoes because they’re lightweight and comfy. Plus, they’re super affordable! CLICK HERE FOR THE PAIR I BOUGHT. They’re mostly sold out in red after I shared them with you a few weeks ago, but here is a similar pair at the same price point, or THIS PAIR that’s higher but almost identical!
6. CLOSED TOE HEELS
- These are my go-to dressed-up shoes for fall. I grabbed them last year and have worn them so many time since then. They fit the bill of a versatile closet piece – I’ve worn them with pants, skirts, and dresses. With the thicker heel, they’re comfortable too! I shared my exact pair a couple of weeks ago when they restocked and you completely sold them out within hours!! But CLICK HERE FOR A SIMILAR PAIR, and there’s another similar pair HERE.
Place in a small container (I use these containers) and shake until thoroughly combined. Pour over salad immediately.
I love the your shoe collection.
Ooohhh-will you do a post on how to style loafers?!

I can’t wait to add a few of these items to my wardrobe! A classic trench coat is definitely a must-have for those chilly autumn days.
