Last Wednesday we secretly packed up the car and headed for Las Vegas. My mom’s 50th birthday was on Thursday, and for the last two months we’ve been planning with my Dad to come down and surprise her.

The first two nights, we stayed at the Four Seasons hotel (amazing, as you can imagine…and a screaming deal since they were totally empty for the few days before labor day weekend), and the rest of the time we spent with my parents at their house.

Here’s a few photos of our weekend. Also, I’d just like to mention that this was the last trip of our summer. After traveling nearly non-stop for the entire summer, I’m so glad to be home again for many months, back in a normal routine, and not eating like a total pig.

the view from our hotel room // out at the pool
early morning memory // baby slippers just perfect for my baby
breakfast with my little man
red mango froyo and cafe rio for my mom’s birthday
birthday pedicures with my mom // a tiny bathrobe
dinner at border grill // watching the byu game in bed
we spent saturday helping my parents redo their giant picture wall. philip had fun riding the scissor lift up to the ceiling and back 🙂

Your son is quite possibly the most adorable little thing. Especially in that bathrobe and his grandfather's glasses on another post. Just so cute.
