Nothing like a little gingham and spikes combo to create a perfect juxtaposition of edgy and sweet.

Have you guys seen that video, “A Few Minutes of Perfection?” If you haven’t, it’s a five minute clip of people helping strangers around them and doing good deeds, and the spirit of service is passed along as others witness the good deeds and then perform an act of service themselves. It’s really an inspiring video that leaves you feeling happy and ready to help someone.

Well, here’s a chance to do your good deed of the day. My little brother, Crawford, is headed to college this fall, and is currently competing for a $5000 scholarship through a local law firm. The winner of the scholarship is partially based on a reader votes. 

So……….if you have a free minute right now, I would be so grateful if you could vote for him.  It’s super easy — just click this link (which will take you to the law firm’s facebook page), push “like” in the upper right hand corner. Then push the “vote” button for Crawford’s essay about the civil tort system. (They ask you to put your name in after you click “vote”, but your vote will still count even if you skip that….I did).
