I saw this beautiful image over at Ohdeedoh today.

Just seeing it makes me want to sit outside in the sunshine and watercolor. I’ve worked in watercolor quite a bit, but not recently and I’m sort of itching to get back into it. Especially if it means simultaneously basking in the sunshine. I’ve been thinking about doing watercolor landscapes, just to try something different, and I know exactly where to start. Just outside my window at work there is a beautiful area with trees of all different colors, and when the sky is blue and sprinkled with clouds, it creates a perfect little scene. I’m setting a goal right now to bring my camera (with my new case Philip got me for V-day)with me to work so I can capture this little scene before it changes. In fact, I want to start bringing my camera with me everywhere so I can capture these future paintings.

No one should be at work when the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and it’s nearly 60 degrees outside. Is anyone else itching for summer?

I think that I’ve been “itching for summer” since December 1st! It was so nice not having to bundle the kids up today.

Yes, these last few days of false spring spoiled us. It is now raining with snow predicted for tonight and the rest of the week. ugh
