Well, we’re home safely. Our cruise was awesome.
Several highlights:
– HOLLYWOOD on Saturday! We took an awesome tour through Beverly Hills and Bel-Air, seeing the Cruise’s home (complete with waiting paparazzi and everything), Dr. Phil’s house (not that I care about him, but his house was beautiful), Nicholas Cage’s house (you all know my infatuation with him…), and many more.
– When we finally found our room on the cruise ship, we opened it to find two twin beds. We laughed about it for a minute, then pushed them together to create a nice full bed. Later that evening our room attendant came by to meet us, and began apologizing profusely because she thought my name was a boys name, and assumed me and Philip were brothers. Nice. We’re still laughing about this one.
– Eating escargot for the first time! My dad served his mission in France and tried them. His comment was that they tasted like buttery erasers. Lovely. I think they had more of the texture of mushrooms, and with all the butter and pesto they were swimming in, you could hardly taste anything else. I just had to force the mental images of little snails scooting along the pavement out of my head.
– The Friday sea-day that I saw two packs/schools/herds/groups of dolphins, and saw two whales! Philip saw both groups of dolphins, but was sleeping in the sun when I saw the whales come up, blow some water out of their blow-hole, and dive back down. So awesome.
I won’t bore you with anymore details, but it was such a fun week.
Here’s a few pictures, and check out my sidebar. What I’m Wearing is once again being updated (but I’m only posting the three most recent days…check out my flickr site for all the outfits from the cruise)
Can you see the tiny Hollywood sign on the hill behind me?
Grauman’s Chinese Theater — You had to see Harry Potter coming…

Proof that I ate escargot
I had been waiting for brownies all week and when they finally appeared on the menu the last night, I got REALLY excited. Just so you know, although I ordered both, I only ate one.
One nice picture so I don’t have to end with my hideous fat picture 🙂
SO FUN!! I’m super jealous…I must convince Harrison to take me on a cruise someday.
looks like fun!
So, did you go on the same cruise that we are? Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta? Tell me all your advice, because I have NEVER been on a cruise and need inside info!
Fun! Looks like an awesome trip!
I’m proud of you for making the leap to the I’ve-eaten-escargot boat. It’s a good boat to ride, though most of us haven’t tried escargot a second time. It’s just not that tasty.
Sushi, on the other hand . . .
Glad you had a fun trip.
We’re definitely going to have to talk cruse this Thursday!!!
