Sending and receiving holiday cards is one of my very favorite traditions. My parents did it every year growing up, and we’d always display all the cards we received from family and friends. I loved reading about other people’s years, seeing pictures of them, and decorating an entire door or wall with all the cards.
For the last few years I’ve used Minted for my holiday cards, and they’re my absolute favorite. They have gorgeous, simple designs, so many little extra options available to make your cards super special, and their quality is unmatched.
I’ve used them for party invitations as well, like my two Halloween parties here and here, and my 30th birthday party. Every time they show in the mail I’m blow away again by the quality and how gorgeous they are.
I think my favorite feature on their site is that you can upload your family picture and preview it on the thumbnails of all the cards. It’s a game changer when choosing a card, because you can scroll through and actually see how your family picture will look in each design. You can also “favorite” the cards so it’s easy to go back and look through your top choices at the end.
The site also has fantastic filters so it’s easy to pick how many pictures on the front of the card, a horizontal or vertical card, a folding card or not, gold foil or letter press, etc, so you can choose your filters and narrow down your search. I’m much better at choosing from thirty options than three hundred options.
I personally love to make mine a folded card and add images and text inside so I can give a little update on the family. Minted has eighteen different inside-the-card options to choose from — a baby announcement format, a moving announcement, speech bubbles from different photos, cute illustrations, timelines, photo collages, and so many more.
For our card this year, we chose this gold foil card that’s simple and classic, and I love the white border around the edge for a clean look. You can do it as a flat card, but I chose to have it be a folded card, and on the inside I chose the timeline option and did a space for each of us with a little blurb about our year and an update on each of the boys. I love how simple and elegant it turned out.
Once you design your card, there are options for different envelopes, envelope liners (I love the little pop of pattern, metallic, or color these add!), address designs on the front, and even custom stamps.
All their holiday cards are 15% off through Monday, December 4th with code SNOW, so if you still need to order your cards, take advantage and order them this weekend!
thank you to Minted for partnering on this post
