Don’t be too shocked — I’m actually going to post about something related to art.
On Friday night we went to Jeremy and Lisa’s house where Philip and Jeremy spent the entire night making supports for me. Jeremy is just about as close to Tim “the tool man” Taylor as you can get. I kept reminding myself to bring my camera to their house so I could take pictures of Philip being all manly with saws and wood glue and stuff, but then I forgot. These are the big boards I’ll be painting on for my October display in Maestro’s. I can’t wait! Look how small I am compared to these ENORMOUS boards!
The two smaller ones have since been gessoed – Philip has been the biggest help and he’s a world class gessoer.
Now you probably won’t hear from me again for another week or so, since tonight we’re starting season 1 of 24. Yes, we’ve conformed. Goodbye to the world until the season is over.
Season 1? Ohh, you’re in for some fun TV! We can blame Janssen for this, hun! Looking forward to seeing your paintings when they’re finished. What kind of wood do you use for your boards?
Season 1 is pretty good. Seasons 2, 3 and 4 are better.
I LOVE that you’re having a display at Maestros! Two things I love: you and gelato! Wish I was there to see it (and eat gelato) but you’ll have to post pictures!
