The holidays are right around the corner, so it’s time to start working on those holiday lists! Are you ready to start shopping and projecting? Today I’m super excited to share this fun project I did with Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts that is a perfect gift for your best friend, your sister, your mom, or even your stylish grandma! It’s a quick and easy project that requires no skill and comes together super fast, but turns out so glamorous and unique. You must make a pair!
silver glitter
mod podge
sponge brush
Step 1. Use the sponge brush to completely cover the shoe. Tip: It’s easier to do this in sections.
Let them dry for another 24 hours before wearing.
Haha! I love it! Do they fall off after 1 night, I wonder?
That’s what I want to know! So cute, but I really don’t want my closet covered in glitter. Does it brush off easily?
The glitter is securely on there — I’ve worn mine several times and the glitter hasn’t moved at all! The top layer of mod podge keeps the glitter firmly in place. But you can always do a second coat of mod podge if you’re worried about it 🙂
Looks pretty. I want my in red! 🙂
Mod Podge is awesome! Beautiful transformation of your heels!

How cute and festive!!
This is amazing – I have an old pair of silver heels that I currently have in my donate bin…but I am now going to pull them out and revamp. Thank you for sharing such fun tutorials like this! 🙂 Xo, Alison

Another great DIY. Thanks Merrick! I love the way you styled the photos.
This is a brilliant DIY! You could totally even do this for a Dorthy Halloween costume some day!
Perfection! I absolutely love this concept. Trying it out immediately! XO

These are gorgeous! These shoes have the holidays written all over them!
This looks like a way better method than the one I tried before. It’s been a couple years but I think the other tutorial had you mix the glitter and glue, then sort of paint it on? I can’t remember exactly…anyway after a day of wear the glitter was already falling off.
Haha, oh no! This method keeps the glitter on really well, so hopefully you have way better success with this tutorial 🙂
I think I will:) Thanks for sharing!
I am thinking I want to do this to some sneakers. Do you think this method will work on the canvas material?
yes, I think it will!
