What are the little things bringing you joy this month? I’ve got a makeup product that I’m currently loving, a book I’m reading, my new favorite hat, and more.
I can hardly believe it’s May already! This year is already flying by. I don’t always remember to do one of these favorite things round ups at the end of the month, but it’s fun when I do remember.
Here are 6 things I loved last month!
1. Madewell Cream and Leather Hat
I just picked up this cream baseball cap and I’ve already worn it tons of times. It’s super comfortable, and the cream color makes it so chic and versatile.
2. Red Aspen Nails
I’ve been wearing these nails for the last four months and they feel and look like gel nails, but they’re a fraction of the cost and take 10 minutes to apply yourself. Also they last almost 3 weeks for me!
I wrote more about them here. And you can see all the nail colors and options HERE.
3. Blue striped tee
I already own enough striped tees to clothe a small army, but when I saw this one with the bright blue stripes, I fell in love. All my other tees have a darker navy or black stripe, so this one feels bright and fresh, and the boxy fit is fantastic. It’s made of a slightly thicker fabric, so it feels very sturdy, looks more expensive, and won’t get stretched out. It’s on sale right now too! I bought an XS – you can see me wearing it here.
4. Shine Cosmetics BB Cream
I’ve talked about Jane Iredale’s BB cream for years, and still love it tons, but as my skin has gotten better over the last few months, I’ve felt like I didn’t need or want quite as much coverage. I tried this Shine Cosmetics BB cream, and have been super impressed. It’s very lightweight, just gives me a tint of color, and is buildable if you do want more coverage. It’s definitely not as much coverage or pigmentation as Jane Iredale’s, so if you need the coverage, stick to that. But if you want something super lightweight, try this one (and use code Merrick10 for 10% off)
5. The Lake House, by Kate Morton
I read a few of Kate Morton’s mystery novels years ago, before I had kids. They are such fun stories, and they always end with a huge, shocking twist. I haven’t read a book like this in over ten years – instead, I’ve been so caught up in business and personal growth books and podcasts. But sometimes you just need something really fun and fluffy to read, and honestly I’ve missed reading a book like this just for fun!
I’ve been listening to this novel on Audible and it’s been such a pleasure to listen to. Also I’m trying to hard to guess the ending but I honestly have no idea what’s going to happen. If you need a good, fun book, all of her books are so creative and well written and clever. I’ve ready three or four of the others.
6. Stacks and Steel Bracelets
I’m loving big stacks of bracelets lately, and Stacks and Steel has some of my favorite ones! They have a huge variety of tile bracelets, and they’re only $10 for a stack – such a good deal!!
My favorite set I’ve been wearing a ton are these black and white and gold ones. They go with everything!
What are you loving lately??
