STRIPED TUNIC (on sale!)  ||  CABLE KNIT CARDIGAN  ||  JEANS  ||  PILLOWS c/o HAYNEEDLE  (CARPE DIEM PILLOW, LOBSTER PILLOW, NAVY PILLOWS)  ||  FIRE PIT c/o HAYNEEDLE

The great thing about living in Southern California is that even though it’s super hot during the day right now, we can always count on beautiful cool weather at night. So we’re taking full advantage of our fall evenings by spending them on the patio. If we wait until the sun goes down, the flies go away with the heat and we’re left with a beautiful night under the stars.

Our current favorite thing is making s’mores after dinner on our new fire pit. Sitting around the fire, laughing and eating with my three guys is maybe the best way I can think to end our day. We also love coming up with fun s’mores combinations — my boys favorite is nutella with a roasted marshmallow and ritz crackers. It’s also so good if you throw a slice of banana in there.  But my personal favorite is one slab of hershey’s chocolate, and one reese’s peanut butter cup in a normal s’more. Sickeningly sweet, but so delicious.

We’ll definitely be spending lots more evenings out on the patio during the fall and winter, so if you have a favorite s’more recipe, leave it in the comments below!

Looks like you guys are having a blast! I’m going to a bonfire tonight, so I too will experience even colder weather. Love the photos!

So fun! We’ve been wanting to get a fire pit for the last couple years! We’ll have to see if we can find one on clearance now that summer is over!
