When my sister in law, Deborah, was about eight and a half months pregnant, I asked her if I could take pictures of her for a painting idea I had. The whole focus of the painting was going to be pregnancy, so I took a bunch of full length photos and called it good.
Well, those photos have been sitting in a folder on my computer for the last year and a half, completely untouched. Now I have no interest in painting the kind of painting I took the photos for, but since I’ve been on a painting-the-face kick lately, I figured I might as well take advantage of some of the photos I already had.
So here is the painting I did of Deborah last week. Pretty happy with how it turned out.
What a hottie.
That is beautiful!
Very lovely.
Merrick. You're unreal. Period. I cannot WAIT to see your little man. I was one who was fooled by the announcement. I couldn't believe you hadn't texted me – therefore, I expect a text 🙂
So remember the head paintings you did in Peter's figure drawing class? You have come a long way!
