Today is Monochromatic Day over at Kayla’s blog. Were you hoping I’d go for an all red, or all orange look with my red or orange pants?? In all honesty, I did consider those outfits for a few minutes. But then yesterday morning was…well, not the best morning, and all I could muster up was an all gray outfit. Fitting.
Thankfully there were a few good things to help the day not be so bad:
1. awesome hair day
2. chocolate cookie dough
3. Leanne took Peanut for two hours so I could teach my art class in peace (bless you)
4. Philip did our taxes (and our tax return is lookin’ real good)
All in all, I’m glad today is a new day. And I promise to wear some color.
I'm sorry for a bad news day. But, cookie dough is always a wonderful boost to a down in the dumps day.
Sorry to hear that you got bad news. I hope things turn out okay. But you're right, you had a very awesome hair day. 🙂
I know what you mean – it's so hard for me to wear color in the winter/when it's raining. But you look fabulous in all grey and yes, your hair is beautiful! Hopefully today is better!
North Meets South
I love head-to-toe gray. I think it looks so polished. You look fantastic, as always! And is your watch from Target? It looks a lot like mine!
Love the gray, fitting for a cold winter day!
We're totally monochrome twins today!
preethi
lace, etc.
I love the fact that your blazer is rolled up and you've got long stripy sleeves on 🙂 That's so awesome!
Say 🙂 x
Gorgeous greys! I love the different elements together. And I'm jealous of your cute white watch. I've been wanting one forever!
See Me Rwar
You are so cute! I love this outfit and I have to agree that your hair is awesome! Would you ever consider doing a hair tutorial for whatever you just did?
I love grey, but the first thing I thought when I pulled up your blog today was–Wow Merrick has amazing hair.
This looks sleek and comfy with a touch of…funk! Gray can totally be classy, as you have shown here! I think it gets a bad rap. 😉 Also I took notice of your amazing hair–it is model-elegant! Love it!
Great monochrome! I am a new follower, courtesy of the challenge. I can't wait to see the rest of your outfits!
BTW – I glanced through some of your artwork and you are phenomenally talented!

love the grey. I went neutral too- seemed to fit the weather!!
Sorry your day wasn't bomb! That totes sucks! But if you're anything like me, the good hair day probably made up for it? You look cute as usual : )
Boo for a bad day. 🙁 Yay for making grey look gorgeous!
Cookie dough is a wonderful counselor. You are SO PRETTY in those closeup shots though!…despite a bad morning.
I love this whole outfit – esp. the stripes! You make grey look so chic!
This is great! I actually thought up a gray outfit, but didn't have the key pieces clean to do it… so alas I went with light brown/cream.
I like the gray monochrome and should probably try it sometime soon. And your hair does look magnificent!
I love the gray! It looks great 🙂
I totally have that grey striped shirt from Target – love it! You are such a doll. I had big plans to participate in Kayla's challenge this week… let's see if I can catch up! :/
Your hair looks amazing. How do you get your curls to look like that? Do you use a curling iron? If so what size?
I found you from Kayla's challenge, you are stunning!

Ok so I found your blog on pinterest and I love it! I am in love with your makeup in this post. Would you mind sending me the products and names of colors you are wearing? I know that is a lot but I'd truly appreciate it!
I am excited to see what else you post in the future? I'm adding you to my blog roll for sure!
Thanks!
