It’s Holiday Style Week! I’ll be sharing great holiday outfits for every occasion. Today, we’re talking about casual Christmas outfits.
Casual Christmas outfits will probably be your most worn look this holiday season! They’re just a touch festive without being over the top or cheesy!
In the past I’ve shared more generic outfit ideas (and I’ll still be doing tons of that over on my instagram page), but this year I’m sharing some more specific outfits for specific occasions, per your request!
Each day this week I’ll be sharing some outfit ideas for specific holiday occasions, and what I would wear to each. I hope this is helpful!
Where to Wear Casual Christmas Outfits
Here are some great places to wear these casual Christmas outfits:
- Neighborhood Party
- Visiting Santa
- Favorite Things Party
- Ice Skating
Neighborhood Christmas Party Outfit
If you’re heading to a holiday Christmas gathering, you’ll want to be comfortable but also a little festive! Throw on a pair of cute jeans and a festive top — something sparkly, like a sequin top!
You might have to take your shoes off at the neighbor’s home, so don’t stress too much about shoes. But I chose a pair of festive, black flats that don’t overshadow the sequin top, but add a little fun at your feet.
Visiting Santa Outfit
Whether you’re taking pictures with your kids and Santa or JUST having the kids in the picture, it’s still nice to dress up a bit because they kids will be dressed up! I chose a gorgeous green velvet blouse and and coated jeans for a super chic but still comfy look, and then added some gorgeous velvet bow heels for a touch of glam.
This would also be a gorgeous option for a holiday date night too! And of course, add a nice coat over the top as needed.

Favorite Things Party Outfit
For the party, I love to be comfortable but festive, and it’s an all-women party, so this “Fa La La La La” sweater is a really cute, festive, and chic top. I paired it with my most comfortable jeans that literally feel like sweatpants and a pair of simple tan ankle boots.
Ice Skating Outfit
I love going ice skating during the winter — it feels so fun and Christmas-y!
If you’ve been before, you know you need warm clothes. I chose a pair of skinny jeans to nicely tuck into the skates, a pair of super warm socks, a cozy and chic fair isle sweater, and a super warm coat and hat.
