The black and white trend is one of my recent favorites. It’s so classic and simple, while still being bold, and since everyone has black and white items in their closet it’s a trend that’s easy to try. Today I’m teaming up with Lulu*s to show you five fun and easy black and white outfits that will keep you on trend all summer long.

Boyfriend jeans and a strappy heel is one of my favorite looks. Add a polka dot blouse and a little arm candy, and you have an outfit perfect for dinner, a date, or just a nice-casual weekend.

Discovering how much I like wearing a half sleeve tee under a tank has opened up all sorts of new possibilities in my closet. This faux-leather tank adds a little unexpected edge to an outfit, especially when paired with a spiked gold necklace.

A white collared blouse is one of those staples that every style book says you neeeed in your closet. I didn’t have one until now (it seems like those books are often geared more toward a professional woman anyway with business suits and the like), but this one with a boxy shape and zipper pockets makes it less “business” and more unique and interesting while still being a closet staple. I love it paired with my stretchy striped pencil skirt and wedges.

The little black dress can be worn so many ways, but is more often dressed up than dress down. Because this one is a nice stretchy knit, it’s easy to make it more casual, so I dressed it down with sandals, a wide belt, a ponytail, and fun black and white earrings.
