Now that B is in full day school, I try to have something fun planned once or twice a week for the afternoon when he comes home from school. One of my favorite things to do with my boys is to bake, so it’s the thing we find ourselves doing the very most. This week, since it’s the first week of October, it only seemed fitting to bust out our first can of pumpkin and bake something yummy.
Since we’re always baking together, I stopped in at World Market a few weeks ago and picked up a few new cookie cutters for our collection. Their new Fall line of Woodland Critters products is absolutely to die for with cuteness, so when I went to find cookie cutters, I couldn’t help but snag some measuring cups and spoons, and this darling raccoon cookie jar. They’re a total steal, I just couldn’t help myself!
We obviously wanted to take advantage of the cookie cutters, so I searched for a Fall-flavored sugar cookie and came across these pumpkin sugar cookies with cinnamon cream cheese frosting from Cooking Classy. They were so delicious, and made for a perfect Fall treat to share with our friends.
Now I have the Fall baking itch — anyone else have some good recipes to share??
I have a hard time resisting cute baking goods, those measuring spoons are so adorable!
