I’ve been going through a painting phase where I only use a tiny square brush. I think it makes a nice effect, but can sometimes get a little overdone and make my painting look “patchy.” So I’m working on maintaining the square brush effect with little “tiles of color,” but make it less patchy.

I think I really achieved that in this painting, and I have to say I think it’s my favorite figure painting I’ve ever done.
