Just the other day, I realized how long it’s been since I’ve posted a pregnancy picture. The weeks are FLYING by, and time is completely getting away from me, so in the last seven weeks I only have three pictures to show. But here they are anyway, and holy cow, I’ve gotten bigger!

I’m now less than four weeks from my due date, and I’m shocked at how fast this pregnancy has gone! It does seem like February, when we got our positive test, was ages ago, but suddenly it’s October and here we are. Crazy how fast this year has flown.
I went in for my first weekly doctor checkup on Tuesday, and because of our imminent move to California, and the fact that I’m already progressing (1 cm dilated and 50% effaced) they are willing to induce me early so Philip will be here for the birth (thank goodness). So although I haven’t scheduled an induction date, I can guarantee that I’ll have a baby by October 26th at the latest, and that’s only three. weeks. away!!! I’m hoping I can get myself to naturally go into labor and avoid an induction, but I’m so grateful to have an induction as a backup to put my mind at ease. The last thing I want is to have a baby alone, or for Philip to be forced to move when the baby is only a day or two old. Grateful, grateful, grateful for modern medicine and helpful doctors.
Despite the imminent arrival of baby #2 and our upcoming move, I’m feeling really relaxed and calm. For me, nesting kicked in around 12 weeks, so the house has been turned upside down, everything has been weeded through and re-organized, and everything has been deep cleaned multiple times. So moving should go really smoothly, even with a newborn, because Philip’s company is doing everything for us, including packing our boxes. Now our biggest hurdle is finding a place to live, and once that’s taken care of, we will hardly have a care in the world 🙂
So now it’s just a waiting game for the next three weeks — we are all so excited to meet this little man!
Your posts make me look forward to pregnancy!! Have you guys decided on a name yet?

Cute little preggo girl! I love your blog and would love to invite you to RE-fashion Week I'm having over at my blog next week. There will be a place to link up your favorite RE-fashioned project! I am your newest follower BTW!!
I love the fact you have found peace when things seem hectic and are changing so quickly. I know the change is a positive one but still. I admire you. Side note: Looking fabulous as usual!
You look so beautiful, good luck with the impending birth
You are such a gorgeous pregnant lady! I can only hope I look as good as you when I'm pregnant!
Such cute pictures! And I am wondering about the dress… did you buy it? Or (as I would assume) sew it? Do you have a tutorial if you did? I have been looking for a dress EXACTLY like this but can't find one! Thanks for your help!
Whitney Bunn:
I refashioned the dress — it was originally two maternity t-shirts.
I explained what I did in this post: http://merricksart.blogspot.com/2012/04/happiest-refashion.html
Hope that helps!
You look fabulous! And you're right – even I feel like your pregnancy flew by! It feels like you just announced it. :o)
Glad you're feeling calm! Can't wait for the little guy to arrive!
You are still so cute and tiny 🙂 You look amazing!

You look great! I can pretty much guarantee I won't look that good when I'm pregnant. 🙂
when I was 7, my mom gave birth to my brother at 11:46pm the night before we moved across the state. grandma and I were in charge of telling the movers where to put everything… chaos! lucky for you they agreed to induce if needed 🙂
So I was curious – did you buy this dress specifically for the photos? I ask because I am wondering if it has stretched out a lot =] Thanks for blogging!
You look lovely! Does peanut talk about the new baby a lot already??
How exciting! Good luck, good luck and good luck! =]
You are gorgeous–inside and out. I love this idea! And I'm so excited you're coming to my state, even if you'll be hours and hours away from me. It at least helps me feel a little less alone… Best of luck finding somewhere to live!
You look great! Hope you feel great too. Good luck with all of these changes coming up. I am excited for your little family!
Erin Brouillette:
I did make the dress specifically for the photos, so I'm not sure if it will go back to its original state once I'm not 9 months pregnant. But since it has the rouching, it doesn't appear to have stretched out much, if at all, so I'm think it will be fine to wear post-baby. If it's a little baggy, I'll just take the sides in temporarily and then let them back out for my next pregnancy.
Julia Wilson:
Thank you! And yes, Peanut talks about the baby all the time! We also talk about him all the time, so I think he knows he's coming soon!
Thank you for the inspirational photos! I used this concept when pregnant with my daughter this summer and gave you credit in my post: http://spotofteadesigns.com/2013/10/09/documenting-your-pregnancy/
