We tried a lot from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year. Dresses, jeans, bras, loungewear, and more. With six women on our team, each with different sizes, styles, and budgets, we’re sharing what we loved, what didn’t work, and what’s worth adding to your cart.
Shopping the Nordstrom Sale can be overwhelming, so we did the hard part for you. Our team of six women with different body types, budgets, and personal styles tried on a wide range of pieces from this year’s Anniversary Sale. We’re sharing honest reviews, fit notes, photos, and our final verdicts on what to skip and what to snag. Whether you’re looking for jeans, bras, dresses, basics, or that one standout piece, this post is your full breakdown of what’s actually worth it.
What’s Worth It From the Nordstrom Sale
1. Wit & Wisdom Bennett ‘Ab’Solution Skyrise Jeans
These jeans are under $60 and were a win for 4/6 of use. Laura (5’11) and found them too short, and Lauren (5’3) didn’t love how they looked on her midsection!
But Merrick, Mary, Kristy, and Courtney loved them on our body types and heights.
Wit & Wisdom’s ‘Ab’Solution line is stretchy while still holding you in, and these raw hem jeans are perfect to add to your closet for fall and winter!

2. Mother The Hustler Roller Sneak Jeans
Yes, only three of us (5’11, 5’7 and 5’6) tried these on, but each one of us bought them, they’re that good. Laura and I are in our true sizes (26 and 29) and Mary sized up to a 28. They’re long, but if you buy and need them hemmed, Nordstrom will tailor them for free!

3. Kut From the Kloth Meg Wide Leg Jeans
These are under $100 jeans that are always a hit. These were a win for a few girls:
- Our 5’7″ Mary loves these jeans and has them in several different washes. She said these were a little long for her taste if she’s doing a cropped jean, but she could easily cut to be the length she likes.
- Lauren (5’3″) has an apron belly, and she thought these were super flattering for her body type and height.
- Our tall girl, Laura (5’11) didn’t want to keep because they were pretty cropped on her.
- I liked them, but the length was a little too long as a crop, and too short as a full length pant. They’re also mid rise, and I prefer a high rise.

If you’re looking for a really comfy, mid rise, dark wash jean with lots of stretch, these are fabulous. And with the raw hem, you could cut them to whatever length works best for you.
4. Zella Super Soft Scuba Crew Neck and Shorts and Pants
Zella is always something we love stocking up on during the sale. Last year, we all bought a matching set, and continued that this year. This year’s material is super lightweight and soft, making it the perfect lounge or travel set. You can see the shorts on both a 5’11 and 5’3 frame. The top is definitely oversized, but if you love oversized get your true size!

5. Zella Zip Jacket, Racerback Bra, Studio Luxe Leggings, Crewneck Top, Mixed Media Zip-Up, Tunnel-Neck Top and Muscle Tank
The biggest winner from this set was THE SPORTS BRA. 5/6 of us actually purchased the bra. It is so soft, flattering, and truly creates zero back rolls. Make sure you grab it while it’s on sale!
The other most popular winners were THIS zip up insulated jacket (on Courtney) and THIS mixed media jacket (on Merrick).
In Zella active pieces, everyone stayed true to size.

6. Sam Edelman Woods Knee High Boots
These are our favorite boots from the sale. They’re timeless, sleek, and beautiful. Kristy is not pictured here because the store did not provide wide widths (they’re available online), but she loved the look.
If you need a western pair of boots that will still work with other looks, these are the best ones to grab.

7. Good American Good Skate Wide Leg Jeans
These jeans were a WIN for all 4 of use (fit-wise for Laura (5’11) but not length-wise). Everyone wore their true size in these, and they do have a bit of stretch, making them breathable and comfortable. Good American is a high quality brand, and the sale is a great time to stock up on them.

7. Honeydew All-American Pajamas
How cute are these PJs? They’d be so fun for a girls’ trip or family reunion. They’re extremely lightweight (if you’ve tried the Nordstrom ones, they’re lighter than those!) We all sized up in these for a roomier, comfier fit.
- Kristy, 5’6″: Wearing size XL
- Laura, 5’11”: wearing size medium
- Merrick, 5’6″: wearing size small
- Courtney, 5’3″: wearing size large
8. Nordstrom Moonlight Pajamas
If you want to up your pajama game, these Nordstrom brand ones are IT! They come in quite a few patterns this year, and come in shorts, nightgowns and short sleeved versions. They’re so so soft without weighing you down. We all sized up in these. They haven’t run small in the past, but this year they run super small. I’d suggest going up at least one size. If you want your pjs to be loose, consider going up two sizes.
