Styling the Denim on Denim Trend

Denim on denim is a huge trend happening this fall. Here’s how to style this trend without feeling weighed down by too much denim.

In my FALL TRENDS post, I talked about how denim on denim is huge this season. I know when a lot of people think of an all denim outfit, they immediately think “Canadian tuxedo” or a cowboy. Here are some creative ways to wear a denim on denim outfit while keeping your outfit classy and balanced.

Break up the denim on denim with a belt

When you’re wearing a denim top and jeans, especially in very similar shades of blue, you can break it up with a belt! Try a western inspired belt to feed into the denim on denim western vibes, or add a classic leather belt or even a chic gold belt!

Add a t-shirt underneath for some contrast

If you’re wearing a button up denim shirt or jacket, open it up and add a tee underneath in a solid color or a print, just to break up all the all-over denim.

Add a layer over your shoulders for a pop
