4 Ways to Wear Vans Old Skool Sneakers

4 ways to wear vans sneakers

These Old Skool Vans are quickly becoming a favorite in my closet. I put together these four easy, mom friendly outfits with these shoes!

I just recently got a pair of the black Old Skool sneakers from Vans, and although I’d been wanting a pair for a while, I’m shocked at how much I love them.

I’ve been wanting to wear them with everything.

A bunch of you have been asking about them, so today I wanted to share four different ways to wear them!

Try a sneaker and skirt combination

I love a good sneaker and skirt combination, and these black and white sneakers are a perfect slim and neutral pair that go well with skirts and dresses.

This skirt can easily be dressed up or down, but since the sneakers are so casual I chose a simple white tee, and then added a little bit of dressiness with a gold chain bag.

Try a monochromatic outfit with your black sneakers

An all black outfit is rare for me, but these black Vans gave me the idea for this outfit and I actually loved it.

The graphic tee (similar) helps the outfit not be solid black, and I added a brown bag and tortoise glasses for some additional contrast.

Add these black sneakers as a bold pop in a very basic outfit

The great thing about these shoes is that they can be a neutral, but they can also be a little bit of a statement.

I added them to a very basic outfit — jeans and a white tee — to add a pop of interest. It’s subtle, but I love it.

Don’t be afraid of sneakers with a dress!

I love a good sneaker and dress combination (you can see a bunch of other ideas in THIS POST!).

If your dress is longer, like mine, add a knot to show a little more leg line. Sneakers can cut off your leg line, so choose a dress that’s shorter, or manipulate your longer dresses as needed.
