I am not one of those girls who was blessed with great skin. From the moment I hit puberty, I struggled with my skin, and over the last almost fifteen years since then, I’ve tried everything from drugstore products to medication to doctor prescribed creams, mostly with little success.  It’s beyond frustrating to be an adult woman with children and have the skin of a 15 year old.

Mostly my breakouts are hormonal these days so I figured that anything new that I used would be useless. But then I discovered some amazing products that have literally transformed my skin over the last six months so today I want to share them with you, and then share an amazing giveaway!
First up, Murad. I hadn’t heard about this line of skincare products until about eight months ago, but then as soon as I checked it out, I began seeing it everywhere. I did a bunch of research and read a ton of reviews, and everything was positive, so I had to give it a shot. They sent me a box full of products specifically chosen for my needs (after asking me some questions about my problem areas, skin type, etc.), and I kid you not…within two weeks of using these products my skin looked better than it had in probably fifteen years. Like, so good that I didn’t have to wear foundation. I was blown away.
I’ve definitely still had breakouts in the months since I’ve been using the products, but for the first time ever I feel like my breakouts haven’t spread, and as soon as they’re gone the redness from the acne is so much lighter and milder, and has disappeared much sooner. They’re not paying me to say this…this stuff is just literally magic. My little brother, who has similar skin to me, has also started using it on my recommendation with the exact same success.
Every morning and night I use their Clarifying Cleanser, followed by Clarifying Toner. Then I alternate depending on the week between the Acne Clearing Solution (when I’m breaking out), and the Post Acne Spot Lightening Gel and the Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum (when my skin is clear and I’m trying to get rid of any post breakout redness). I also use the Acne Spot Fast Fix for spot treatment. Then after that treatment, I finish with the Oil Control Mattifier, which I love because it’s a good thick lotion that has helped renew my skin, but has kept my oily skin at bay. This is maybe my favorite product of them all, although it’s definitely hard to choose.
Next up, eye creams from Bremenn Clinical. I got these products at Alt Summit in a goodie bag and have used them a ton over the last few months. I’d never used eye cream before, but with all the late nights that I pull around here I was starting to see the effects. I use the Upper Eyelid Lifter and Dark Circle Eraser creams every night, and despite staying up past 3am a lot of nights, I have zero (I mean zero) dark circles. And my eyelids were pretty smooth already, but I see the use of this as more of a preventive measure for the future when those lids will get saggy (but I’d rather not think about that…).
And lastly, this Personal Microdermabrasion (PMD) tool is the most recent addition to my skincare routine. Despite having oily skin, my skin also gets dry in certain areas, so I love having an at-home tool that sloughs of all the dry skin and leaves my skin silky smooth and refreshed. There’s definitely a bit of a learning curve on this thing, but once you get the hang of it, it’s an amazing tool!

[note: besides these three things, I also try to drink a lot of water and I take a daily Biotin supplement, which helps skin, hair, and nails]
And this leads us to the giveaway!

I’ve had horrible acne for most of my life. I’ve done every treatment in the books, from 2 rounds of accutane, to proactive, to herbal pills, to prescriptions… You name it, I’ve done it! I’d love to have something like this to fix my battered skin 🙂

  198. Did you use Murad products when you were pregnant? I have heard mixed opinions about it. I am struggling to get my skin clear but I am also trying for a baby. Not sure if I should invest in Murad now or not.
