Skirts and dresses are such a staple in summer for me…I mean, is there anything better than a summer dress on a hot day? But to get even more use out of my clothes, I’ve started repurposing a few of my dresses and wearing them as skirts or tops.
I pinned this red and black outfit a few weeks ago because I liked the black and red combination worn for summer — since it’s usually more of a wintery combo — and then I recreated it with my Leanne Barlow skirt and a black and white shift dress as the top. Wearing your dresses in different ways opens up all sorts of possibilities, and makes your closet even bigger and more versatile!
Also, this weekend is Leanne Barlow’s semi-annual sale — everything in her shop is 25% off with code LBSPRING from now until Saturday night! These skirts are so well made, so flattering, and such a classic piece that you’ll wear for years. Plus, the waistband is removable, so you can wear it with or without the bow. So hurry over and snag yourself one of these gorgeous Take A Bow skirts, or one of her insanely comfy maxi skirts — don’t wait, cause there won’t be another sale soon!
