RAIDING MY SISTERS CLOSET: BLACK AND WHITE STYLE

Black and white is one of my favorite combinations to wear. It’s so classic and chic, and is the perfect base for adding any other color in. I also love that it works in any season, on any silhouette, and I mostly love that it so often comes in stripes, which are obviously my favorite.

Today my sisters and I are talking Black and White style, which is a big trend for spring, along with blush, rose gold, and other pretty neutrals. I decided, for once, to move away from stripes and share one of my favorite dresses — a simple black and white shift dress that I picked up at Target a few months ago. It’s the perfect lightweight material, a really simple silhouette, and so comfortable. Although I often wear it by itself with a pair of heels or sandals, it’s also a great piece to layer like I did here with a chambray button up and a belt.

  • I love the way your dress looks in the pictures, but it doesn't look the same on Target's website. Does the dress photograph true to what it looks like? Thanks!! Julie

    • Yep, the dress looks just like it does in this photo! Much brighter white than in the Target product shot.

  • This is amazing! Whyyyy is my sister 8 yrs old? hahaha I have a feeling she's going to be borrowing from me in a few years…

  • Such a fun look! I like the layering a lot!

  • I wondering how this dress fits (size wise). I can only order it online so I can't try it on. (I always like to try on target clothes). I am a size 2-4 115 lbs. Should I order a s or a xs?

    • I actually purchased a size large so it had extra length, and then I took in the sides. Hope that helps!

  • Do you happen to remember the name of your glasses? I've been looking for a similar style with no luck! Thanks!
