You guys, we have some big news.
Four and a half weeks ago, we found out about a job opening within Philip’s company. Three and a half weeks ago, we found out that Philip would be able to apply for this position. Two weeks ago Philip had a phone interview, and then one week ago he flew out for a second interview. And finally, the day after he returned from that second interview, after five torturously long and stressful weeks, we found out he got the job. And so….
we’re moving to Southern California!!
After eight years in Provo, six of which have been spent as a married couple in our tiny condo, we are so sad to move away. This is the place where we met, where we fell in love, where we were married and started our life together, and where we brought (and will bring) our babies home, and it will be so hard to say goodbye to all of that. But by far, the thing we will miss the most here is the people — in fact, I have a growing list of people I’m planning to smuggle out in my suitcase. The only thing that makes me feel a bit better is that because Provo is a college town, they’ll all be graduated and gone within a few years too.
But despite any sadness in moving away, we are so, so excited for this new adventure in our lives, especially as a family of four!
Things might be a little crazy over the next two months with a move and a new baby, but we feel so good about this change, and already so many things are falling into place. We couldn’t be more thrilled, and I couldn’t be more proud of that husband of mine.
Southern California, here we come!
