I decided not to do WOME the last two weeks because I was working on a commission and didn’t want the family to see it before it was done. But now that it’s done and delivered, I’m free to show you what’s been taking up the space on my easel for the last few weeks.

This was a really fun, but tough commission. The photos were given to me, because the family wanted the painting to be done of the boys when they were younger, so I had no choice on the lighting, angle, etc. Plus there were two separate photos, so a little editing had to be done to make them look like they were in the same lighting. Also, one of the boys didn’t have a shirt on in his photo, so I had to make that up (good thing I have lots of photos of my younger brother that I could use for reference).

But despite the challenges, this was a really great commission and I love how it turned out.

Now on to my next project…I’ll be posting about that one tomorrow.

What’s on My Easel?

Very cute! Admittingly I don't know what they actually looked like, but I think it's an amazing job!
