Time for this week’s dinner ideas! It was a really busy week with a lot of events, but I loved the time we had to eat together at home.

Our weekly menu will give you some good dinner ideas

Time for this week’s dinner ideas! While we had a lot more meals out/leftovers than normal, I still wanted to share what a busy week of dinners looks like for us.

Here’s a quick review of our weekly dinners:

Monday: Leftovers

Tuesday: Shredded Beef Tacos

Wednesday: Free Choice

Thursday: Charity Event

Friday: Mavericks Game

Saturday: BBQ Chicken Pizza

Sunday: Lasagana

Sunday Dessert: Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Bars

Turkey Noodle Soup

On Sunday last week, we made a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner since we were in Mexico for Thanksgiving. We always do turkey soup with the leftover turkey, and it’s the best!

BBQ Pizza

This is our favorite pizza. We put grilled chicken, BBQ sauce, frozen corn, and fresh jalapeños on it.

Lasagna

I don’t make lasagna very often cause it’s pretty involved, but it’s a good Sunday night dinner. This one is delicious and pretty simple!

Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Bars

This is one of my all time favorite desserts. It’s pretty easy to make and super rich and filled with butter (hence the name) but it is SO delicious. If you’ve never tried it, you must!

Weekly Menu, June 19 – 25

Time for this week’s dinner ideas! This week’s meals were easy, quick, and delicious for the whole family!

Our weekly menu will give you some good dinner ideas!

This week we’ve been getting into a routine in our summer condo and are finally back to cooking more consistently! This summer I’m working on teaching my boys some major life skills, including cooking. They’re each in charge of one day of cooking per week, and it’s been so fun to cook together and see them learning.

Here’s a quick review of our weekly dinners:

Monday: Fried Chicken and Fried Pickles

Monday was my 13 year old’s day. He chose fried chicken and fried pickles for dinner, and they turned out amazing. Both recipes were fantastic. He served with fresh blackberries.

Tuesday: Leftovers

Wednesday: Cheeseburger Sliders

Wednesday was my 10 year old’s day to cook and he chose cheeseburger sliders. I was a little unsure about this recipe but it actually turned out well. It was yummy and easy enough for my 10 year old to cook (with a little help)! He served with cantaloupe and waffle fries.

Thursday: Omlets

Thursday was my 7 year old’s day to cook, and he decided on omelets. Since he’s new to cooking (whereas the older boys have helped a lot over the years), he mostly helped crack and mix eggs, add cheese, and chop up some veggies. But it was good practice to help in the kitchen, and I’m tailoring how much I help each boy with their meals based on their needs.

Friday: BBQ Chicken Pizza

We haven’t had homemade pizza for a few weeks with the craziness of the move, and so even though we’re in the condo and don’t have all the regular tools to make it, we still made it this week cause we all missed it! I do BBQ sauce, Mexican blend cheese, grilled chicken, frozen corn, and fresh jalapeños. We top with a drizzle of BBQ sauce and crispy onions. So yummy!

Saturday: Out to Eat

Sunday: Green Chile Verde

This is one of our favorite meals. So flavorful and so delicious. We brought our slow cooker with us to the summer condo so I can make all our favorites.
