Time for this week’s dinner ideas! It was a really busy week with a lot of events, but I loved the time we had to eat together at home.

Our weekly menu will give you some good dinner ideas

Time for this week’s dinner ideas! While we had a lot more meals out/leftovers than normal, I still wanted to share what a busy week of dinners looks like for us.

Here’s a quick review of our weekly dinners:

Monday: Leftovers

Tuesday: Shredded Beef Tacos

Wednesday: Free Choice

Thursday: Charity Event

Friday: Mavericks Game

Saturday: BBQ Chicken Pizza

Sunday: Lasagana

Sunday Dessert: Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Bars

Turkey Noodle Soup

On Sunday last week, we made a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner since we were in Mexico for Thanksgiving. We always do turkey soup with the leftover turkey, and it’s the best!

BBQ Pizza

This is our favorite pizza. We put grilled chicken, BBQ sauce, frozen corn, and fresh jalapeños on it.

Lasagna

I don’t make lasagna very often cause it’s pretty involved, but it’s a good Sunday night dinner. This one is delicious and pretty simple!

Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Bars

This is one of my all time favorite desserts. It’s pretty easy to make and super rich and filled with butter (hence the name) but it is SO delicious. If you’ve never tried it, you must!

Weekly Menu Jan 29- Feb 5

Time for this week’s dinner ideas! This week I made a mix of new recipes and family favorites for some super tasty meals.

Our weekly menu will give you some good dinner ideas!

I tried some new recipes early on in the week and finished with family favorites for a good mix of meals. We ended the week with a super fun, simple dessert that the whole family loves.

Here’s a quick review of our weekly dinners:

Monday: Split Pea Soup

Tuesday: Crispy Air Fryer Chicken

Wednesday: Leftovers

Thursday: Ground Beef Taquitos

Friday: Ordered Pizza

Saturday: Family Date Night

Sunday: Red Beans and Rice

Sunday Dessert: Air Fryer Donuts

Split Pea Soup

Split Pea Soup

My kids mostly hated this soup…probably because it looked a little like green oatmeal. My oldest politely ate it, but the other two flat out refused to eat it. So….not a win. It was good, but not amazing. For sure won’t repeat it. Can’t win them all!

Crispy Air Fryer Chicken

Crispy Air Fryer Chicken

I had planned to make grilled chicken skewers, but we had a freeze this week so I didn’t get a chance to go to the store (or order groceries) so I had no skewers. I had already defrosted the chicken thighs, so I found this recipe and it was simple and super flavorful and delicious. All the boys loved it! I served it with white rice.

Ground Beef Taquitos

Ground Beef Taquitos

I made these tasty little ground beef taquitos for dinner, and although they certainly didn’t roll up super nicely like the frozen ones I ate as a kid, they were delicious and everyone loved them. I actually didn’t have any corn tortillas, so I made my own using THIS RECIPE— super easy and way better than store-bought!

Red Beans and Rice

Red Beans and Rice

This is Philip’s favorite meal — super simple and easy to toss in the crockpot before church on Sunday. I use smoked sausage, and always add it during the last hour so it doesn’t get mushy. I also decrease the amount of creole seasoning by A LOT so my kids will actually eat it.

Air Fryer Donuts

Air Fryer Donuts

We made these a few years ago and they were so simple and delicious. We filled them with cream and jam, added Nutella and maple glaze, and made all sorts of fun combinations.
