Time for this week’s dinner ideas! The meals this week were really good and pretty simple – we even had a special birthday celebration!
Our weekly menu will give you some good dinner ideas
Time for this week’s dinner ideas! Every recipe this week was super flavorful and delicious.
Here’s a quick review of our weekly dinners:
I’m going to add this little overview every week so you can see our true full weekly menu to get dinner ideas.
Monday: Bacon Corn Chowder with Jalapenos
Tuesday: Leftovers
Wednesday: Shrimp Tacos
Thursday: Italian Wedding Soup
Friday: Bacon and Mushroom Pizza
Saturday: Out to Eat
Sunday: Hamburgers
Sunday Dessert: Ooey Gooey Butter Cake
Bacon Corn Chowder with Jalapenos
I’ve made this a few times and it’s super simple and hearty and delicious. Perfect for a cold winter dinner!
Shrimp Tacos
I saw a chef making shrimp tacos on TikTok a few weeks ago and immediately started craving them. I used this recipe, but only ended up deep-frying a few of them, because I really just wanted simple, non-battered shrimp. We topped them with fresh cheese, the sauce from the recipe, cilantro, cabbage, and then put them in homemade tortillas. Super delicious and totally hit the spot!
Italian Wedding Soup
I have another meatball soup recipe that I’ve been making for years, and this week Philip said he liked this meatball soup even better. It has pork and beef in the meatballs, which makes it extra flavorful, and I can never find the pasta they ask for so I just use orzo. It’s delicious!
Bacon and Mushroom Pizza
This is one of our favorite pizza recipes! It’s just olive oil instead of sauce, sautéed mushrooms and crispy bacon, and cheddar cheese. So good. We use Mels Kitchen Cafe’s pizza dough.
Hamburgers
Sunday is Sanny’s birthday and when it’s your birthday you get to request what’s for dinner. He chose his favorite…Hamburgers and French fries!
Ooey Gooey Butter Cake
I made this a few years ago for my oldest’s birthday and WHOA it is so freaking good. In true Paula Deen fashion, it’s outrageously heavy and filled with butter, but it’s honestly my favorite cake ever. Sanny requested it for his birthday dessert!
I love this! Would love to see this as a series or at least see another post or two with more examples of how to wear old trends in newer ways.
I’m sorry, this posted on the wrong blog post for some reason. Was referring to the 3/9 post about how to wear old trends in modern ways.
