During the week, our schedules with work, school, appointments, meetings, and errands get so busy, so Philip and I have really made a conscious effort to have quality family time every weekend where we get away from work and focus on family time. Sometimes we’ll head out of town for the night (like we did this past weekend if you saw on instagram or snapchat), sometimes we’ll hang out at home and watch movies and play games, and often we’ll go for a family walk downtown.
We live about a mile from the beach and our little downtown, so it’s easy to throw the kids in the stroller and walk down to watch the sun set, grab a milkshake or a warm chocolate chip cookie, and enjoy the beautiful fresh air. Plus, we get our quality family time in as we walk since Philip and I will point out beautiful homes, talk about the future or what’s going on with our jobs, or we’ll play a game of I Spy with the boys.
My boys don’t love wearing big bulky outwear, and most of the time they don’t even feel the cold (as I sit there and freeze), so our Gap Factory sweatshirts are the perfect compromise for keeping them comfortable since they’re insanely soft, but also keep them bundled up for when we get down to the beach where it’s usually cool and windy. They’re completely obsessed with them and wear them pretty much every day. And although I typically reach for a jacket over a sweatshirt, I’ve been living in this one and my puffer vest because they’re so cozy and comfortable, and accommodate my growing bump perfectly.
