These studded sandals have been on constant repeat all summer. I’ve had some requests about how to wear them. Here are four easy outfits!

Studded sandals are a great better than basic shoe for summer

I’ve been eyeing these studded sandals for the last two summer and finally this summer I pulled the trigger on them.

They’re a little pricey, but I knew they’d be a great Better Than Basic sandal to add to my closet. And I’ve been wearing them constantly this summer.

Also, they run just a tiny bit small – if you’re in between sizes, size up!

A solution to the online reviews

I read some reviews that said the metal studs made black dots on your feet. I didn’t notice this happening until I went to Hawaii and wore them in the humidity on the beach — then it immediately happened.

The dots washed off easily, thankfully, but several people recommended painting the metal with clear nail polish to avoid this in the future. That works like a charm!

Why my sandals look slightly different than the ones online

Also, I am really bad about unbuckling my sandals when I pull them on and off, and I snapped the back strap on one of the sandals after a few wears (I’m an idiot). So I had to pull the strap off the other one so they matched. They’re now slide on sandals, which I totally don’t mind, but they are, in fact, the same sandals as the ones I’m linking, but they look slightly different.

Here are four ways to wear these sandals!

Studded sandals outfit #1: bold solid colors

These studded sandals are so fun to wear with anything, even bold colors! Stick to solid bold colors so your outfit doesn’t feel too busy.

PINK DRESS (wearing size 4 – use code MERRICK15 for 15% off) | CREAM BELT | SANDALS

Studded sandals outfit #2: Wear your sandals with white pants

Whether the white pants are wide leg, straight leg, shorts, or skinny jeans, studded sandals are a fun shoe to wear with them.

You could wear any top with this combination, but I chose a pretty pastel green top.

WHITE PANTS | GREEN TOP | STUDDED SANDALS

Studded sandals outfit #3: solid colored jumpsuit

I love jumpsuits in the summer. This one is old from Abercrombie, but the solid white is a great option to wear with embellished sandals.

You could also absolutely pair these sandals with a black or navy or another solid color of jumpsuit.

SIMILAR WHITE JUMPSUIT | BELT BAG | STUDDED SANDALS

Studded sandals outfit #4: jeans and a summer top

Of course you can wear these studded sandals with blue jeans! You could do it with light wash, mid, or dark rinse jeans — all of them work!

I chose a top that was intricate, but still solid colored so it didn’t try to compete with the studded sandals.

SIMILAR SWEATER | JEANS | STUDDED SANDALS

Did you notice that I wore more classic pieces and colors with these studded sandals? They’re quite a trendy item of clothing, so to avoid feeling too trendy or too loud in your outfit, keep the rest of your outfit solid colored, classic, and a little more subdued.

Oh, they look so cute! My sister used to have similar ones when we were living in Russia, too bad we haven’t brought them with us because, in the USA, it’s the perfect weather to wear them, unlike in Russia. Well, we had a chance to go back and take some stuff because we had problems with our passports, but now that I managed to find a service that helped me with 5-year russian passport, we don’t need to go there anymore. So, I guess we’ll have to keep looking for these sandals on the internet.
