Our Family’s Halloween Rockstar Costumes

I’m so excited to share our family Halloween rockstar costumes! This is a fun and pretty easy Halloween costume to throw together with pieces you may already have in your closet.

This year for Halloween we decided to dress up in a family rockstar costume. It was a fun and pretty simple family costume to put together, using pieces we already owned and some pieces we’ll continue to wear even after Halloween.

Here’s a breakdown of all our family rockstar Halloween costumes, what we used, and how we put them together.

Men’s rockstar costume

• This LONG JACKET was the first piece we found. It took weeks to arrive, but it was so worth it.
• He borrowed MY LEVI’S JEANS and they were incredibly skinny on him and so perfect for a rockstar look.
• We bought THESE BLACK BOOTS for him, and actually I really love them. They’re a great boot that he could totally wear with jeans over and over.
• He found THIS AMERICAN FLAG t-shirt and it’s a definitely one he’ll continue to wear.
• The ROCKSTAR WIG was the cherry on top and fully completed this costume.
• We also added a few accessories to his look with the LEATHER FINGERLESS GLOVES, this ROCK ON NECKLACE, some AVIATORS SUNGLASSES, and this BELT CHAIN.

Women’s rockstar costume

• I started with my LEATHER LEGGINGS that I already had in my closet
• This BLACK LACE TRIM TOP is an easy black layer underneath the BLACK FUR COAT that I also already owned.
• Of course a rockstar costume isn’t complete with some COMBAT BOOTS, which I already owned.
• I added a BANDANA around my head, which I already had in my closet
• A few accessories completed the look: LEATHER FINGERLESS GLOVES, and a CHAIN BELT

Boy’s Halloween Rockstar Costume

• We bought him this cute ROCK ON TEE from Amazon and paired it with some black skinny jeans he already owned.
• I wanted some contrast in our outfits, so I found these amazing WHITE BOOTS
• We used some black eyeshadow to give him the classic rockstar eyeliner, shaved a mohawk in his hair, and added a few STUDDED BRACELETS to complete the look.
• Oh, and of course the guitar! I bought these PAPER GUITARS and painted over the neon color with white acrylic paint.

Boy’s Halloween Rockstar Costume

• We had to do a TATTOO SLEEVE SHIRT! This cute one for kids was perfect for Fos.
• He already had black skinny jeans, but we bought THESE BLACK BOOTS for a cool rocker look.
• A BANDANA around his head, a mohawk with our favorite gel, STUDDED BRACELETS, some cute SUNGLASSES (which we also owned), and a PAPER GUITAR completed his rockstar outfit.

Boy’s Halloween Rockstar Costume

• This cute ABCD T-SHIRT is a play on the classic ACDC logo and was perfect for a toddler rockstar costume.
• I bought these gray jeans at Walmart last year and they were great for his costume.
• These BLACK BOOTS are girl boots, but affordable black boots for boys were surprisingly hard to find, so we went with these.
• This cute leather jacket came in his Stitch Fix box last year and was a great layer to keep him warm and also looked so cute for his costume.
• We had to get some DRUMSTICKS to complete the look!
• I used black eyeliner to draw the lightning bolt on his face, and added some cool STUDDED BRACELETS.
