Although I’d never been opposed to white jeans after Labor Day, I had never thought to wear them during the dead of winter until the term “Winter Whites” suddenly came onto my radar last year. Obviously there is no snow here in SoCal, but I wore this on the second day of Alt Summit in Salt Lake (where it really was the dead of winter), and loved the juxtaposition of all white and gray against a cold frozen city. Sadly I didn’t get photos there, but I took these when it was about 40 degrees and on the verge of rain, and that’s practically the same thing, right?
Anyway, my sisters and I are each sharing a winter white look today. White jeans and either a light gray or cream sweater are an easy and very wearable combination. It makes a statement without making you feel like you’re wearing summer clothes in the winter. Add a pair of boots and a coat (either neutral, dark, or bright — any of them would work!) and you’re outfit is complete.
What do you think about winter whites?

So cute! I never quite understand the "no white after Labor Day" rule – if it looks good and is modest, why not?? That's my two cents 😛

I love white in the winter, although wearing it in the rain of Seattle can be difficult! This is such a great look, though – I especially love that sweater with the white jeans!!

  11. I wish I were brave enough to wear white pants… I swear they would only last about an hour before they got slimed by the kids or I sat on something gross haha! But I LOVE this look! Especially the boots. Swoon.

The combination of white jeans and brown ankle boots is just great! I've shared on my Twitter, hope you fine with that Merrick:)

I have a strange and slightly awkward question – how do you avoid underwear lines with tight white jeans? I have a pair similar to this and can't find underwear that works with them.
We're buried in snow right now and I don't go out without wearing leggings under jeans so I can't try this yet, but I sure will be when it warms up a little!

    Those boots! I love!
While I have no issues with white at this time of the year, I can't realistically do it where we live. It will get slush covered and stained 🙁

  16. Beautiful winter neutrals! Those booties are fantastic.
