GRAY STRIPED MATERNITY TEE || JEANS c/o A PEA IN THE POD MATERNITY

Who else is ready for Super Bowl Sunday? Admittedly I’m only in it for the food, the commercials, and to be a supportive wife. When Philip and I started dating, I was completely clueless when it came to sports, and although I had a college all-sports pass and went to a lot of different sporting events, I was only there to be social, and had absolutely no clue what was going on at any point during the game.

But after nine years of being married to a sports fanatic I’ve finally figured out most of the rules (specifically of football…don’t ask me anything about baseball or soccer), and actually watch the game rather than just blankly stare.

It’s tradition in our house to do a big food spread of all our favorite appetizers, especially my favorite salsa (recipe below!) and all watch it together. We used to do it with all of Philip’s extended family when we lived in Utah, but now that we’re here we just do it on our own with the boys.

It’s always so fun, but of course eating on the couch with messy appetizers and two little boys gets super messy really fast, so I had to figure out a solution that kept me from being a crazy clean freak mom the entire game. Persil ProClean sent us their new 2in1 detergent, which is rated higher than any other stain removal detergent, and even a giant salsa splatter on Benson’s white striped shirt came right out! So I can sit and enjoy family time without having to stress about the messes that are happening. And after the game is over, I can toss our throw pillows and blankets in the wash with Persil’s detergent and clean them right up.

I’m prepping our menu over the next few days, so if you have a good game day food, share it below in the comments! Here’s our favorite salsa recipe that’s always requested for Super Bowl Sunday:

Salsa

1 can whole tomatoes
1/4 bunch cilantro, chopped
1 can diced green chilies
2-3 stalks of green onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp red pepper flakes (add less if you want your salsa mild)
1 tsp garlic powder

Chop the cilantro and green onions, then combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend on pulse mode (so you can control it a little better) until it’s your desired consistency. I like my salsa a little chunky, so I don’t let it blend for more than a few seconds.

Transfer to a bowl and chill. Serve cold with your favorite tortilla chips, and then use Persil ProClean 2in1 to clean it off your clothes when your three year old inevitably spills it all down his front 😉

You look ADORABLE and I love that first dress on you. That’s definitely pregnancy goals right there. I’m the same way with the Superbowl. My boyfriend loves to watch it with all our friends but I’m really just there for the food and to talk to all the other girlfriends haha.

I like that every day more and more people are addicted to gambling. I suggest you go to the site https://roobet-code.com/stake-vs-roobet/ with online betting on cryptocurrency. It is relatively new, but very quickly became popular.
