After an excruciatingly long week of coughing, sneezing, and nose blowing, I’m back on my feet and feeling nearly 100%. What a relief – being sick is the worst. I kept feeling sorry for myself, wishing someone was around to take care of Peanut, because how in the world am I supposed to take care of a child when all I want to do is sleep all day long? Fortunately we made it through, although not without complaints of my mom not living next door.
Also fortunate was that we had many fun plans for the weekend which made for a happy entrance back into real life. These plans included much needed and wanted family time at our extended family reunion, new sandals, a delicious BBQ with friends, fireworks, and homemade ice cream at two (two!) different events.

I agree- Moms should not be allowed to get sick. It's impossible to take care of others when battling invaders in your body. 🙂
