I try and share a lot of different things here on Merrick’s Art, but not everything can be my very favorite. Here are my top 10 favorite purchases from the year!

Sharing my favorite things is so much fun. Here’s a list of the best things I bought and used this year. Hopefully, you’ll try and love these in the new year!

10 Favorite Things from 2021

1. Comfort Cove tanks

I discovered these tanks earlier this year and they have become my favorite workout tanks ever…I don’t even want to wear any other tanks anymore! The “Ribbed High Neck Bramis” are my very favorite. They’re buttery soft, one size fits all, come in a bunch of different colors, and are super affordable. Code MERRICK gets you 10% off too.

2. Olaplex #3

I was having a lot of hair breakage earlier this year, so I chopped off a few inches and bought the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector treatment to help strengthen my ends.  It’s been incredible. I use it once a week before washing my hair and leave it on for about 15 minutes before jumping in the shower, and my ends have never been healthier. I’m a huge fan.

3. Chelsea Boots

Ok, if these top ten were in order, these Chelsea boots would absolutely be my number one. I bought them in January and have been obsessed with them all year. They’re the perfect height and width, they go with everything, they’re waterproof, and they’re so lightweight and comfortable for a big boot. I wear them with leggings, jeans, skirts, and dresses. I wore them in New York City in October and walked probably fifteen miles in them with no issues at all. They go in and out of stock every few months, so if you see them in stock, GRAB THEM. I shared some outfit ideas in THIS POST.

4. Gold candlesticks

I bought this gold candlestick set for my birthday party in July and I can’t believe it took me 34 years of life to have pretty tall candlesticks for my table. I’ve used them tons of times since then, in every tablescape and for every event, cause they’re just sleek and pretty and add gorgeous dimension to a table. Plus they’re super affordable!

5. Gold Budha Girl bangles

I’ve had my eye on these gold bangles for years, and finally got them for myself for my birthday. I’ve probably worn them 5 out of 7 days every week since then. They go with EVERYTHING. They’re made of flexible polyvinyl carbonate and hand filled with gold leaf, so that’s why they’re so pricey. Because of the material, they bend and don’t make any noise when they touch…no constant clinking on your wrist like regular bangles. Also they make any outfit feel elevated! Check them out right here.

6. Iconic London Illuminator

I discovered this liquid highlighter a few months ago and it’s the best beauty product I’ve found in a long time. It’s a liquid highlighter and it instantly gives you the most gorgeous glow that’s not glittery, just perfectly natural. It also makes you look super awake. It’s a moms best friend! You use only a tiny bit, so this bottle will literally last you ages.

7. Good legs Good American jeans

I bought my first pair of Good American jeans in 2020 and this Good Legs pair in 2021. I’ve purchased and worn a lot of jeans in my time, and I can honestly say that Good American brand is my all time favorite. They’re so comfortable, super flattering, and they fit like a dream. I normally wear a size 26 in jeans, and I wear a size 0 in these jeans. I’d recommend sizing down.

8. Boot Socks

My mom came and visited earlier this year and she left a pair of these socks on accident. I tried them on and immediately decided to steal them from her…they’re so good! They’re warm and the perfect height to stick just a little bit out of ankle boots. Plus they’re $12 for 5 pairs!

9. Black Zella joggers

I’ve been raving about Zella leggings for years, and finally decided to try the joggers. They had amazing reviews and they’re literally incredible. So soft, so comfy, and so flattering. I wear a size XS and they’re perfect.

10. Minky couture blanket

I’ve heard amazing things about Minky blankets for years, and finally we got one this year. They are INCREDIBLE. These blankets are thick and super soft and incredibly plush. If you’re looking for a blanket, seriously, check these out.
