I’ve tried a lot of brands of running shoes over the years and finally found a pair last year that I really, really love. Here’s which ones they are, and why I love them.
Running is one of my favorite ways to exercise, and I run about 30-40 miles per week right now. So a great pair of running shoes is an absolute must for me.
(I wrote all about my experience with starting to run IN THIS POST)
I’ve tried a lot of brands of running shoes over the years, and have liked them. But last year I bought a pair of ON running shoes at Nordstrom and instantly fell in love with them.
outfit details:
ZELLA RUNNING SHORTS | SPORTS BRA | RUNNING TANK | ON SNEAKERS (my color is sold out)
Here’s why I love these running shoes:
The square toe box
- Any runner knows that if you run a lot, your toes get super beat up. I’ve lost several toenails, my nails have cracked, they get bruised and turn purple under the nail…my feet definitely take a beating. These shoes have a square toe box so my toes have way more space and get way less damaged. This is a HUGE selling point for me.
CloudTec Sole
- The sole of this shoe is super unique, with hollow sections to create a super lightweight rolling sole that makes movement super fluid and natural like the movement of your foot.
Super lightweight
- These are so lightweight, especially with the hollowed out sole sections, I barely feel them when I run.
No break in time
- These were ready to run in straight out of the box, with a super comfortable fit and no break in required. They also have lots of cushion in the sole and the insole so they’re incredibly comfortable, supportive, and buoyant.
They have shoes for men and women too!
Since I’ve had these shoes, I’ve had WAY less toe issues. I went to the nail salon over Christmas and when they took off my toenail polish, I didn’t have a single bruised toenail for the first time in literally YEARS. It was a Christmas miracle.
I wear the training sneakers, but my next purchase is the actual running shoes.
Philip also loves them and wears them for running and for everyday outfits.
They have lots of men and women options at Nordstrom – you can find them HERE, and I’ve linked some of my favorite color ways below!
