Dressed Up Dressed Down: Staying in New Years Eve Outfits

I never go to parties for New Year’s Eve, so I put together two staying-in New Year’s Eve outfits that are comfortable, cute, and made with pieces you can wear far beyond New Year’s Eve. 

I don’t know about you, but my New Year’s Eve is never glamorous or filled with sequins and little slinky dresses. My New Year’s Eve plans consist of a fun dinner with my boys, maybe some family games, and then maybe staying up til midnight with Philip after the boys are in bed to give him a kiss at midnight. Maybe.

Is that the definition of mom life, or what?

Well, if your plans are anything like ours, I’ve put together two outfits for you for staying in on New Year’s Eve that are cute and comfortable, but still feel a little festive.

This is what I’m wearing for New Year’s Eve this year. It’s simple and comfortable with stretchy SKINNY JEANS and a COZY SWEATER, but a little pop of pink with the BOW IN MY HAIR, and some GLITTERY FLATS really make this outfit pop!!

Of course if your plans for New Year’s Eve are to snuggle up and watch a movie, or something cozy at home, pajamas are definitely the best option. But make them cute!

This STAR SWEATER is a perfect bit of sparkle, and then I paired them with my favorite insanely soft PAJAMA PANTS. Toss on a cute POM POM HAT and some FUZZY SLIPPERS and you’re ready for a cozy night in.
