For Christmas, my main gift to Philip was a version of Shannon Brown’s A Year of Dates. One of my goals this year is to spend more quality time with my husband (and, ahem, not my laptop), so I planned out one date for each month of this year and bought gift cards, printed out schedules, and got a few date accessories to go along with each month’s date.

Well, last weekend we scheduled date number one — a date to Park City to eat at PRIME Steakhouse and Piano Bar. It was, in part, to celebrate our recent five year anniversary, and also because we’ve been talking about trying out PRIME for months and this was a good excuse. I was hoping to go during the Sundance Film Festival, but the dates didn’t work out with our schedule. Guess I’ll have to save my celebrity spotting for another date.

PRIME
The bathroom was channeling breakfast at tiffany’s with their blue walls, bejeweled everything, and large picture of Audrey Hepburn. So fun.
Park City Main Street at night

Dinner was delicious, even though Philip’s strip steak was way better than my filet (weird, right?), Park City was as beautiful as always, and we had a total blast.

We picked up Peanut from Leanne’s house (thank you!), whisked him home to bed, and then finished off the night with homemade chocolate lava cakes.

It was the perfect way to start off our year of dates!

What a fun date! I've always wanted to go to Park City. Ooo, I'm glad you posted a link to that lava cakes recipe. I tried something similar last week and it didn't quite work out. This recipe looks like a winner.

    And thanks for linking up!
