For this round of Raiding My Sister’s Closet, my sisters and I are chatting about summer whites. I’ve done lots of posts about white on white combinations, like here with blush sneakers, here with a denim jacket, and here with some really cute wedges, or here with pink and gray accents, so today I’m taking it in a slightly different direction.

A summer essential for me is a little white dress. I’ve owned a bunch of white dresses over the years, but a simple one that’s easy to dress up or down is the perfect choice. A white dress is often my go-to for summer events — dress it up with wedges and a clutch, or dress it down with sneakers and a baseball cap. It’s also perfect for picnics or BBQ’s with an easy pair of sandals, or great for date night with heels and a jacket.

For this look, I threw a gingham shirt around my waist, and added my favorite espadrille sneakers (that are on sale for $35 with free shipping!).
