Last week I posted this painting. I’ve been doing one-color paintings like that since I started in the painting program.
Well once again, I’ve graduated and I’m past just one color. The next step is adding opaque paint, and we do that with the color white.
So this week I painted over that one-color painting and did a full value painting with two colors — burnt sienna (my original color), and white. Coincidentally, burnt sienna and white make a pretty accurate skin tone color, so I think it turned out quite nicely. I might have lost a little bit of likeness in the process, but it’s all good. I’m learning.
[I need to take a little more time when I photograph these — the glares are killing me. So sorry.]
Beautiful!
That looks great! And I need a nice camera like yours cuz for me the flash is the least of my worries when it comes to taking pics of my work! Keep up the good work 🙂
